The STR-AZ3000ES is a premium 9.2 channel 8K A/V receiver featuring a newly designed Frame Beam Base Chassis with increased thickness for improved rigidity, and an offset screw position foot to eliminate resonance and vibration. It includes a redeveloped digital section enabling 32-bit digital PCM processing, a new DAC with low-noise power supply and buffer amp for enhanced sound clarity. The Sony-exclusive integrated circuit enhances amplification and channel separation. The digital circuit board is secured with metal ES-grade frames and leads free ES solder, combined with fine sound resistors for vivid audio quality. Supporting four 8K HDMI inputs and two outputs with HDMI 2.1, it handles 8K and 4K/120 video sources and supports HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HDR10, Hybrid Log Gamma, and IMAX Enhanced for dynamic picture quality. Delivering 120 watts of powerful amplification, it supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and exclusive 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology for immersive surround sound. Digital Cinema Auto Calibration IX ensures precise sound field optimization, while Acoustic Center Sync and Center Speaker Lift align audio perfectly with compatible BRAVIA TVs. Wireless functionality supports Sony wireless rear speakers and subwoofers (sold separately). Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay, and compatibility with SONOS app, Google Assistant, and Sony Music Center app. Additional features include AI-driven DSEE Ultimate upscaling, advanced control system support with Control4, Savant, Crestron, and OvrC integration, front-mounted USB with settings save, multiple 12-volt triggers, IR repeaters, flexible setup via GUI or front panel, ping button for IP recall, and an RS232C port for system configuration.
