The RSM-1RA is mounted in the corridor and the RSM-1SWA remote silencing switch is mounted in the suite. The AIM-1A isolation module is designed to provide isolation to any signals / speakers that are connected to it. If a short on the signal / speaker wires exist the isolation module isolates the short to the rest of the signal / speaker circuit. The AIM-4A provides isolation for 24VDC audible signals or 25/70 Vrms speaker circuits.
The RSM and AIM series offer installation ease which also lowers installed and future servicing costs. Front access SEMS screws make wire connections simpler and faster. Flexibility. The RSM-1A, RSM-1RA, AIM-1A and AIM-4A will operate with standard 24VDC audible signals and speakers. Aesthetics. To meet building owner / tenant aesthetic requirements, the RSM and AIM series incorporates a stylish cover plate and invisible silence switch reducing the accidental operation of the unit.
RSM-1A The RSM-1A shall mount to a standard 4” X 4” X 2 1/8” backbox. The RSM-1A shall operate with standard 24VDC audible devices or 25/70VAC speakers.
The RSM-1A shall be powered from a standard 24V regulated DC or full wave rectified indicating appliance circuit. This product shall have an operating temperature of 32°F to 120°F and an operating voltage range of 15-30 volts.
During speaker alarm tone signalling or 24VDC audible signalling a red alarm LED shall illuminate on the module. The RSM-1A residential silence module incorporates a switch which when operated during alarm will silence a 24VDC audible signal or speaker device for up to10 minutes, after which time it will resound automatically. For speaker operation, to over ride the 10 minute silence to allow paging, the control panel will interrupt power to the 24VDC signal circuit during a microphone press to talk. The wiring between the RSM-1A and the suite sounding device shall be short circuit isolated during alarm operation.
